Action Shooting provides an opportunity for participants to draw from holster, go through multiple shooting drills, barrier shooting, and moving while shooting. Taking the Introduction to Handgun and the Conceal Carry Courses is recommended, but not required, before participation in one of the shooting leagues. Participants are scored using IPSC standards safety rules and scoring. Learn more about IPSC Scoring: (http://www.travistomasie.com/hit-factors-and-uspsa-ipsc-scoring.html). Scores are posted at https://practiscore.com/ (keep this in mind when entering the name you wish to appear on the website). NOTE: Participants are required to arrive on time to hear the safety briefing. If you arrive after the safety briefing you will not be able to participate in Action that evening. If you are interested in observing before participation please call our staff at The Range at (509) 571-1449.
Action 2: This co-ed group is your chance to get past the static firing line, and experience moving and shooting in a dynamic environment designed to push your shooting skills! Designed for shooters of all levels and abilities who have completed the action level 1 qualifier. Shooters can expect three stages. Holsters are required. Eye and ear protection are required, but can be rented of you do not possess your own. You can also rent a handgun and purchase ammunition. Action 2 participants are required to pass the Action 1 qualifier test with an IPSC Hit Factor score of 3.5 or better to participate in Action 2. In addition, Action 2 participants must have demonstrated good safety, sportsmanship, and gun handling skills.
Action Level 2 presents more technical stages with higher round counts than Action Level 1. Action level 2 will be run following USPSA guidelines.

Concealed Carry Weapon(CCW) training teaches you the legal aspects of carrying a firearm. Every Day Carry (EDC) practice builds tactical mindset and skills.
Instructor lead, with peer feedback, EDC practice focuses on real-world defensive skills, teaching gun owners how to handle, draw, and use their firearms in daily life. This is not a "how to shoot" class. You should be experienced and familiar with handguns, prior instruction/experience is strongly recommended. Handgun rentals are available if you do not yet have your own.
To learn defensive skills you need three types of work:
General firearm training and practice often focuses on marksmanship and range safety, EDC practice prepares you for high-pressure situations where split-second decisions matter.
EDC practice includes practicing draws from concealment, engaging targets, and moving while staying aware of your surroundings, under stress.
Key techniques include:
Shooting and decision-making under stress
Consistent draw Clearing your concealment garment
