Every Tuesday 6-8pm

One of our firearm experts will lead participants through several experiential tactical exercises designed to practice mindset, strategy and tactics. This is not a "how to shoot" class. .

Great way to increase your skill level and learn from our experts.  $10 members $20 non members. 

Can sign up on line to ensure your spot or pay in store.

Participants MUST have:

Hip holster which is the correct size for the gun you are using (if Inside The Waistband type, it must be rigid leather or Kydex.  NO "Sticky", "Ramora", "Uncle Mikes", or other soft fabric ITW holsters allowed*). 

At least 2 magazines, and at least 50 rounds of ammunition.  

Eye and Ear protection are required, and are available to rent if you do not have your own (rental fee is included in your registration). 

 * Holster type is determined so that safety AND rapid progress through stages are possible.  Soft ITW holsters take up too much time to properly reholster, and slows down the training.

Introduction to Tactical Rifle

 

3 hours- Course Cost $99

 

This Class will cover the basics of Tactical Rifle shooting, building a solid foundation which will increase safety and proficiency with the weapon system. The class will progressively increase the difficulty based on shooters comfort level. Once you leave here you should be able to shoot safely and understand the basics of tactical rifle handling. You should have the skills and confidence to enroll in more advanced classes.

 

Objectives:

• Safety brief and safe gun handling procedures and techniques
• Fundamentals of shooting
• Overview of Tactical rifle, controls, features and maintenance
• Gear selection and management, including sling use
• Load, unload
• Reloads- bolt lock and tactical
• Ready positions

 

Note: The rate of progression of the training depends on the number of students in the class and the overall skill levels of the students.  Having students safely fire their rifles and show improvement in accuracy, speed and confidence is the goal of the class.

 

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:

• Serviceable and zeroed Carbine (preferably with iron sights) and tools necessary to maintain it
  2 magazines or the ability to have 20-40 rounds per training iteration
• Magazine pouches (chest rig, or body armor will work) 1 belt mounted mag pouch is preferable
• Comfortable clothing suitable for standing long periods of time. Open toed shoes or low-cut clothing are not acceptable for training.
  Hearing and Eye protection (wrap around eye protection recommended)
• Sling (preferably double point sling)
• Hat

 

Ammunition, 100 rounds

 

RENTAL OPTIONS:

Guns and gear are available for use during the class. 

If students need a firearm, the rental is included in the class cost, but ammunition must be purchased for the firearm at The Range LLC. (Note: depending on ammunition availability, students may bring their own factory-loaded ammunition for use in The Range LLC rental guns.  NO HANDLOADED AMMUNITION ALLOWED IN RENTAL GUNS!)

 

 

 

*Registering for a class constitutes an agreement to attend the class in which you enroll. After your class enrollment tuition payments are not refundable, but those funds may be applied to a future class with at least one week’s advanced notification.
