The General Concealed Carry Level II class starts off where level I ended. The first 30 minutes will be a refresher of the fundamentals learned in Carry 1. Students will draw their firearm from the holster during level II, so students need to bring a holster with their firearm, and wear their concealment garment. Shooters will be challenged with drills to better understand situations they may encounter during real life events. Students will have the opportunity to run their selected self-defense ammunition through their firearm.
This class is designed for the shooter who has their shooting foundation established in our other Basic classes, and have made the decision to carry on a daily basis.
If you are in need of a concealment holster, The Range carries one of the finest brands in holsters available: CCS Gunwear Holsters, made right here in Yakima! Most popular gun models are in stock, other models or specialty fits (undergun lights, lasers, custom optics, etc...) can be made to order; allow 2-3 weeks to for your holster to be custom made.

3:30-5:30pmIn spite of the fact that Washington State has no education requirement for a Concealed Pistol Permit, our General Concealed Carry Class is a MUST for anyone wanting to know the laws and rules regarding Concealed Carry in this state. What are the dangers and considerations of carrying a concealed weapon? Where is it still unlawful for a CPP holder to have a firearm? These and other questions will be answered by this class, the curriculum written specifically for The Range by a long time Yakima Police Officer and Homicide Detective.
A Live-Fire portion in our climate-controlled indoor range to practice these skills
Gun rentals are available with no rental charge for use during class. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to start time of training to select a firearm. All firearms rented must be accompanied by our ammo (available at reasonable prices). No outside ammo is allowed through rental firearms.
There is no training prerequisite for this class, however new and inexperienced shooters are strongly encouraged to take Introduction to Handgun or a private lesson first. The live fire portion of the class will be a challenge if you cannot load, unload, fire, and use the safeties on your firearm.
